Carey Taubert, a Hussar local, has been elected to serve a second term as the Board Secretary on the Connect First Credit Union Board of Directors.

"I am just thrilled to be serving this thriving organization again, and honored that I have the trust of the board to continue as a table officer," beamed Carey Taubert, board Secretary.Carey Taubert2Carey Taubert, Board Secretary, Connect First Credit Union

The board is voted on by the Connect First members, and President of Chinook Financial, Scot Hadden said the organization is lucky to have someone like Taubert on their board.

"I have been a director now for 11 years, starting with Chinook Credit Union, and then of course going through the merger to become Connect First Credit Union so to be going through another term for 3 years, I am just honored to be continuing serving this organization," said Taubert.

Taubert is no stranger to mergers, and the merger with Mountainview Credit Union is right on the forefront of her mind.

"This is just another milestone to hopefully help connect first achieve their vision of being alberta's neighborhood credit union by 2025," explained Taubert.

The two Credit Unions jointly represent more than 120,000 members and over 700 employees in 44 different locations across central and southern Alberta. The almagamated credit union would be Canada's 7th largest credit union.
