A local rap artist seeing some major success.

Jason McLean of Drumheller was one of the opening acts for the Outlawz 20th anniversary Tupac Tribute Tour in September, which has led him to more tour dates.

"We actually got some people from Vancouver who are doing a cross Canada tour, Loyalty, (and) they're a pretty big underground artist and I managed to get on two stops for that," explained McLean.

On December 11 he'll be in Drumheller at Neighbours with the group Loyalty and he will be making another stop in Strathmore on December 15 to perform.

In January McLean will have two more shows in Calgary and at West Edmonton Mall with hip hop artist Maino from Brooklyn on his cross Canada tour.

McLean is also excited about an upcoming Alberta Murderaz tour stop in Drumheller on January 27.

"Definitely be performing some of my newer music on all these shows for sure and hoping to have a new E.P. in February is the goal and trying to have a release party for that," stated McLean

More information about McLean's upcoming shows can be found through his Facebook page.
