A long-standing business in Drumheller will be changing effective today. Allied Distributors (Drumheller) will be Auto Value as of March 4th. The reason for this is longtime owners, Ken and Marcie Schinnour, are retiring as of today (February 28th).

Allied has been in our community for over 52 years providing auto parts and accessories to Drumheller and area. They have also been heavily involved in the community over that time. Both Ken and Marcie have dedicated many hours in our community volunteering in so many organizations in and around Drumheller. Allied has also supported sports teams, 4-H, countless school groups and community associations.

"We made arrangements with a company out of Calgary called Auto Value and they're going to buy our inventory and they are going to hire our staff and they've been gracious enough to open the doors and handle the same products and the same quality service you've always seen," explains Ken Schinnour.

"Allied's been here for 52 years this year. We started in 1967. We have had a huge following of customers, we can't thank the Drumheller and area people enough. It's been a beautiful place to do business. We're looking forward to retiring but we're going to miss all our friends."

Ken and Marcie have no specific plans for their retirement. "The future for Ken and Marcie," comments Marcie Schinnour, "is just enjoying some time off, enjoying the valley, and having time to do some stuff. Spending time with the family."

Both Ken and Marcie have been an integral part of our community and we wish them well in their retirement.
