Do you know a local business owner, or perhaps one of their employees, that deserves special recognition? The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from you.
The deadline is fast approaching for their annual Business Excellence Awards.
"The third week of October is Small Business Week, so October 18 we will have our Business Awards Gala," reported Marley Henneigh, Chamber Services Coordinator. "The nominations are still open for the Business Awards, but they close this Friday."
"Small business of the year, large business of the year, most promising new business for a business that's been open for two years or less, we have the business professional of the year, we have the diversity leadership award and the arts and culture award."
An explanation of the different Chamber Awards and the qualifications can be found through this link.
"We've got forms here at the chamber office, so they can come in to the World's Largest Dinosaur and get those," noted Henneigh. "They're (also) available at our website,, they can download them right off there."
The deadline for nominations is end of business on Friday, August 25.  From September 4-8 the public will be able to vote for their favourites. These votes, combined with the scores given by the Chamber's Business Excellence Awards Committee, will determine the award winners.
