Drumheller's first Light up the Night is being considered a success.

The event, which organized by Family and Community Support Services Drumheller, saw a good turnout.

The night included Christmas songs from the St. Anthony's Elementary School Choir, music performances from St. Anthony's teachers and Deputy Mayor Jay Garbutt brought greetings on behalf of the Town of Drumheller.

A countdown with the crowd also happened prior to the Christmas light being turned on at Town Hall.

The evening concluded with late night shopping downtown and horse drawn carriage rides around Drumheller.
