The Krayonz for Kidz campaign and barbeque bore fruit for St. Anthony's School and Greentree Elementary as the proceeds from Western Financial's fundraiser earlier this month went to the two schools breakfast programs.

"We attended both schools to present them with school supplies and then funds from our barbeque," explained Western's Branch Manager, Roxanne Clark.

western2Greentree Elementary also received a donation from Western Financial

The total amount raised for the breakfast programs was $1,235.

"Everything that we raised we match 100 per cent," said Clark. "You know, we're just thankful to the Drumheller community for the generosity and we look forward to doing it again next year."

Western Financial also donated money to Drumheller Literacy through their charitable arm, the Western Communities Foundation.

"Those funds go towards their tutoring programs. Students in Drumheller can access that through Campus Alberta without any charge," Clark concluded.

The amount of $617 was presented to both St. Anthony's School and Greentree Elementary along with boxes of school supplies.
