The Kaleidoscope Theatre in Drumheller will be working 9 to 5 for their upcoming performance.

'9 to 5: The Musical' production starts today, July 13.

"It's based on the 1980's film with the same name that Dolly Parton stared in. We have 15 cast members, four musicians plus all of our backstage and technical crews," explained spokesman Ashley Turner.

The production will be directed by Becky Neuman.

"Dolly Parton actually wrote the music and lyrics to the Broadway show. The production is about three women who kind of take over from their egotistical sexist boss, show them what's what and stick it to the man," she noted.

Performance dates are July 13 to 15, 18 to the 21 starting at 7:30 p.m. and the Matinee show is on July 16 starting at 2:00 p.m.

"You can buy tickets at or by calling 403-823-PLAY (7529)," Turner outlined.

"Since we are a completely non-profit (and) completely volunteer based theatre, all money generated stays within the theatre stays within the theatre for future productions, upkeep of the space, purchase of equipment and items like that."
