The Drumheller Valley seems to be attracting more and more visitors from overseas, as well as local Albertans.
"Here at the Visitor Information Center, we are up about 200 over last year's totals, so that is really great,. We are halfway through the season and we are already up above last year's total," informed Debi Kennedy of Drumheller Visitor Information Center.
According to Kennedy, many Albertans have been opting for a "staycation" rather than traveling to another country, which may have to do with the increase in numbers.
There has also been an increase in visitors from overseas.
"Our Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, all of those countries, are up over 300 (visits), just in those countries," continued Kennedy.
Kennedy is excited about the increase of people from around the world.
"It means Drumheller is a go to place. People want to come and visit our dinosaurs," concluded Kennedy.
