Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta is preparing for their annual career forum.

World of Choices is opportunity for Drumheller and area youth to decide on possible career choices by hearing from those who are currently involved in that field work.

"It provides more of an intimate setting for our students for them to have their questions answered," explained Charity Vollman, Regional Coordinator for Junior Achievement.

The event will host students in grades 10 through 12 from Drumheller, Three Hills, Acme and JC Charyk from Hanna. Ryan Semchuk of Canalta Hotels will be the Master of Ceremonies and RBC will be providing a guest speaker.

"Some career fairs are intimidating as the students get up the guts to approach people gathered around the booths, but at our tables they're set up with about eight students at each table so they get their chance to ask the questions that they want to ask," added Vollman. "The career mentors are also individuals from various industries instead of recruiters from companies."

Vollman estimates over 200 students will be attending the third annual World of Choices this spring. She is, however, looking for a few more mentors to be part of the forum.

The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 8 at the Badlands Community Facility.
