Drumheller youth will have the opportuntiy to partake in an athletic adventure.

Two Wheel View has partnered with the Duke of Edinburgh program to organize another 12 day bike excursion from the valley to Banff.

An information night will be held at the Badlands Community Facility on March 1 at 6:00p.m.

"We're having an information session like we've had in the past and this is an opportunity for people to come down and see what we have to offer," said Constable Craig Nelson with the Drumheller RCMP. "Essentially, we are going to cover what the trip is going to look like."

The group of bikers are scheduled to begin their journey on August 9 and return to the valley on August 20.

"If this is something that even remotely interests anyone, they should come check it out," said Nelson. "There is really nothing to hold anyone back, we do all the fundraising and provide all the equipment. All you have to do is show up wanting to go, pack some clothes, and bring a good attitude."

"We really learn about ourselves when we are faced with a challenge and biking up the north hill is certainly a challenge right off the hop," added Nelson. "Learning how to work together as a group, how to lead, how to be responsible for the environment are skills that everyone needs and it's good to instill them when kids are little."
