There was an insane amount of puppy cuteness at Partici Park yesterday for the first ever Dog Jog event.

The event was put on as a fundraiser for the Drumheller and District Humane Society.

"So everybody can come and register. Their dogs can come play in the pool, we have games for them, barbeque, we have the prizes. They can walk down the trail and then come back and do all those things," explained Humane Society Treasurer, Heather Gallagher.

The event also had agility courses, vendor tables, and lots of room for dogs to socialize.

Tickets could be purchased to participate in the event and barbeque.

"We have a 50/50 draw, a few vendors they can visit and bracelets for sale to help support the Humane Society," continued Gallagher.

All the funds raised will go towards the Humane Society to help with all costs, says Gallagher.

"We have astronomical vet bills, of course, rent and utilities and all those things. We don't have any specific projects in mind but keeping the cats at the shelter always costs us lots of money," concluded Gallagher.
