"On April 8 and April 11, 2017, during an exceptional search, there was packages containing 29 grams on Fentanyl and 24 grams of MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) that were seized from the Drumheller Institution," stated Kelly Dae Dash, Media Relations and Outreach Advisor for Correctional Service of Canada.
The illegal contraband was discovered by Correctional officer Jeffrey Hood and his K-9 dog, Cotton.
"The total estimated institutional value of this seizure is over $36,000 and the information has been forwarded to the RCMP," outlined Dae Dash.
"I just want to recognize that this outstanding find was the result of the vigilance of staff and they need to be recognized for their outstanding work here," concluded Dae Dash.
