Hip-Hop for Cancer 2 took place at Neighbors Pub this past Saturday, March 24.
The intent for the event was to raise as much money as possible for the fight against cancer.
"In Drum(heller), we made a total of $610." said organizer and performer, Thomas Schow.
This is the second year in a row that Hip-Hop for Cancer has taken place and it is gaining more ground by heading to Calgary this weekend.
"The proceeds go to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation, which is technically the Drumheller Cancer Clinic." Schow explained.
"We had a total of 12 artists at the event. One of the artists' mother just passed away from cancer and that's why he wanted to be a part of the event." Schow said.
The event gives Drumhellerites a chance to express themselves through rap and hip-hop as well as enjoy themselves for a good cause.
