Roads have been deemed quite treacherous lately as two motor vehicle crashes in the last 24 hours have occurred.
Last night around 6:00 pm, a serious collision occurred at the junction of Highway 9 and Highway 36, just East of the Town of Hanna.
"The semi truck was entering onto the highway there, the pick up hit the side of the semi, then a semi following the pickup actually hit the pickup after it hit the semi," commented Mike Hibbs of the RCMP's Media Relations Group.
The conditions of the roads are thought to be foggy but are still under investigation.
"The driver (of the truck) was transported, they couldn't get STARS Ambulance to land because of conditions, but they had a fixed-wing plane to transport him to the Foothills (Hospital)," continued Hibbs.
"He's in serious with life-threatening conditions at the hospital there and the passenger was transported by land by EMS there in serious conditions," concluded Hibbs.
We will provide further updates as they become available.
