On December 10, 2018, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Hanna RCMP located a stolen truck on Highway 589 and Range Road 164.

"Hanna RCMP located a stolen vehicle at Highway 589 and Range Road 164. While they were waiting for a tow-truck, the RCMP observed another suspicious vehicle approach the area. They attempted to stop the vehicle where the vehicle then fled," explained Constable Mike Hibbs from the RCMP Media Relations Group.

"A short pursuit ensued ending up with marked police car colliding with the pursuit vehicle and the police car ended up going off the road with extensive damage.

The vehicle is described as a white Ford F250 with grey/black trim on the doors and wheel wells, and has damage to the rear left tire well and bumper.

"At this point, we are thinking that the two vehicles are related. There was some stuff that was located in the first vehicle and we're assuming that the suspect may have come back to pick up the stuff after stealing another vehicle. We haven't confirmed that the other vehicle has been stolen yet but that's why we're looking forward to nailing it down.

If you see this vehicle please call the Hanna RCMP at 1-403-854-3391 or Crimestoppers at 1-403-262-8477.
