Three people are facing charges in connection with a break-in at a Hanna grocery store.
Around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 19 three masked suspects entered Freson Bros. in Hanna through the front door. Once inside, they broke into Anderson Drugs and stole an estimated $2,200 worth of prescription medicine, including Fentanyl.
Hanna RCMP raided a home in the town and recovered most of the stolen drugs. They arrested two people on site, then later identified a third suspect, who was also picked up.
Multiple criminal charges are pending against 33 year old Jean Bogdan Niculescu, 32 year old Lora Lee Hewko and 42 year old Ryan Wayne Moench of Hanna. Nicolescu and Hewko were remanded into custody until April 26, when they will return to Hanna Provincial Court. Moench was released on a recognizance with a promise to return to court the same date.
