You hear about it in the movies, but it actually happened in real life this time.

Yesterday, it was reported on social media that a man test drove a grey 2019 F 350 Ford truck from Westergard Motors in Drumheller, and never returned it.

"We do have a suspect, the suspect is known to police. At this time charges aren't laid, and the truck is still outstanding," explained cCorporalGerald Sherk from the Drumheller RCMP.

The truck was a brand new F 350 Super Duty in the colour Stone Grey.

"Our investigation is still continuing but we do have a number of leads we are following up on today," continued Sherk.

"It is unfortunate that it happened here. Smaller town dealerships are more likely to have connections in the community and know people, and therefore be more trusting. I think that is what happened here and unfortunately, he (the suspect) took advantage of someone's trust."
