Greentree School held their annual Halloween Parade yesterday and every kid was excited to show off their Halloween costumes.

"This would be my fifth Greentree Halloween Parade. It works really well because the kids also get the opportunity to see each other. So they parade through the classrooms and then campellsoupErin Campbell-Bentleythey come on stage and the parents get to see them there and then head back to the classrooms," explained Greentree Principal, Erin Campbell-Bentley.

Each class was able to go on stage and show off their garbs as a group, and then they paraded around the gym for all parents to see. The flash of cameras was something out of a Hollywood movie premiere as they tried the best shot of each unique costume.

"I was quite surprised about the large amount of food (costumes). I am wearing a food item myself, and usually, I'm the only food item!" exclaimed Campbell-Bentley. "It was kind of neat, one of the teachers came in this and she says, 'it is kind of cool, we have a cat talking to a hamburger in our playground. Lots of really neat ones this year."

The parade was just the beginning of the Halloween festivities for the school leading up to the big trick or treating night.

"Most of our classes do a party, and we have had lots of snacks coming in, so they will have that opportunity for the rest of the day and gearing them up to go out tonight," concluded Campbell-Bentley.
