Western GM and quite a few Drumheller residents stepped up to the plate to help out a great local cause.

Buick's Drive for your Students event had approximately 400 individuals test drive a vehicle.

"We're looking at a donation very close to last years numbers that we've given to St. Anthony's, around that $8,800," stated Brad LeDrew, Sales Manager at Western GM.

This years event was raising money towards the Friends of Greentree School Society for their accessible playground.

"The car wash and barbecue for the Drumheller Football Association, the Terrapins were here the whole day (and) they raised nearly $1,000 to go towards more equipment for their club," he added.

So, will this event continue again next year?

"We won't know until next year if Buick is going to continue the program. This is only its second year that they've offered it, but we hope so," LeDrew concluded.
