A great fundraiser for the Kneehill Minor Hockey Association brought out the fans to the Three Hills Arena.

On Saturday December 2, The Calgary Flames Alumni came out to Three Hills to take on the Kneehill Alumni.  It was a great event with an autograph session with the Flames Alumni before the game and then the game which features some great hockey players for both teams.

On the Flames Alumni side, Brendan Morrison, Jamie Macoun, Curtis Glencross, Robyn Regher, and Bryan McGrattan.  On the Kneehill Alumni, former NHL player Kevin Haller, Blaine Hoppins who played for the Drumheller Dragons in 2007-08, John Dorn who played for the Drumheller Falcons from 1979-1981, as well as former Big Country Raptor Ryan Paget.

"We were looking for a fundraiser this year," stated organizer Lisa Sanderman.  "Something a little different that we haven't done in the past."

"We did have 700 tickets sold Friday afternoon and then sold another 50 at the door on the day of the event," Sanderman remarked.  "It was quite an overwhelming experience."

The funds from the game will be used to keep costs down for the organization so that kids continue to have an opportunity to play hockey.  Preliminary totals of the amount raised is approximately $18,000.00.
