Local business owners are looking for a change in 2017.

The General Store, currently located on North Dinosaur Trail, will be closing its doors.

"I just find it's time we need to move on with our life," Leanne Madsen explained, adding she's not sure where the future will take her and her husband, Jens.

"The kids have all left Drumheller and our big business (Evergreen Equipment), why we came to Drumheller, is gone so it's time to move on."

She will be opening the store on Wednesday, April 12 to begin liquidating the remaining stock.

Madsen is open to selling the business and asks any potential buyers to reach out to her.
