A food recall that could affect bakers.
Smucker Foods of Canada is recalling Robin Hood brand All Purpose Flour from the marketplace due to possible E. Coli contamination.
It's the 10 kg size in a couple of lot codes: BB/MA 2018 AL 17 and 6 291 548 0 59000 01652 8.
Food contaminated with E. coli may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.
This recall was triggered by findings by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) during its investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak.
The affected product was sold in Alberta stores.
Canadians are advised not to use or eat any Robin Hood All Purpose Four, Original sold in 10 kilogram bags.
While most people made ill by E. coil experience a few days of upset stomach then recover fully, infections can sometimes be life threatening.
There has been one reported illness associated with the consumption of this product. Consumers who may have this product are asked to not use it or to throw it out.
