On Wednesday, the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce had their AGM which entailed some new board members and a new executive.

"We had a good crowd of about seventy people there in attendance. It was a larger crowd than we have had in a few years so it was pleasing to see that," explained Heather Bitz the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce.

Bitz was very impressed with the amount of interest at the meeting.

"We had five seats open on our board of directors and while we didn't have an election, we did have five people come forward and they all got onto the board by acclamation. We have a full roster of 13 board members now. Following the meeting we had a brief board meeting to elect our executive," continued Bitz.

The five new board members are Mike Bell, Jared Potter, John Shoff, Shannon Wade, and Daryl Reid. The new executive that was elected internally was Jeff Hall as President, Cindy Clark is the Vice President, and the Secretary/Treasurer will be Nathan Flemming.

The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce has a few events coming up in April.

"Our Political Candidates Forum for the upcoming election will be on Tuesday evening at the Badlands Community Facility at seven o'clock. So the public is welcome to join us for that," concluded Bitz.

The DDCC has their Spring Expo coming up later in April.
