Town of Drumheller officals have confirmed that tonight's Canada Day fireworks show has been postponed and is rescheduled to Sunday July 2nd at 11 p.m.

The organizers have recommended delaying tonight's fireworks because of the rain and lightning.

Today's forecast looks as that the rain will continue until at 10:30 p.m. and due to the rain the access to the site is quite slippery.

Some of the tube holding the fireworks are full of water which also means that they won't be able to shoot off as much as planned tonight.

Tomorrow's forecast looks great and it was decided to hold it at the same time Sunday evening.
