It is believed that it was a bird that contacted a power line.

Yesterday, July 1, during the Canada Day Parade in the afternoon, a fire at the top of Verdant Valley hill began to blaze.

Drumheller Fire and Rescue dispatched three firetrucks with the aid of Munson and Dalum Fire Departments.

The fire was quickly under control, with the believed cause to be a bird's unfortunate fate in meeting a power line.
