The Special Areas Board in Hanna has declared a fire advisory for Areas 2,3, and 4.

Campfires are still allowed in campgrounds and random camping areas, but may be restricted if conditions do not improve. Incinerator fires are permitted at a minimum distance of 30 metres away from structures and 3 metres away from combustible materials. Controlled burns may be restricted.

Towns or villages or provincial parks within the Special Areas handle their own restrictions and should be contacted directly.

A fire advisory is also in place in Starland County and all controlled burns are suspended until further notice.
