Some students will be staying home from Drumheller Valley Secondary School today after reports of a threat.
Apparently, a threat to shoot up the school was posted on an internet chat room on Sunday.
"Like you, we've heard the rumours circulating on social media over the weekend," stated Principal Curtis Lapierre. "RCMP have investigated and have clearly indicated to us that there was no threat to the safety of students or staff. School will be running as usual."
Drumheller RCMP are investigating, but again, the threat has been determined to be empty and DVSS is open for classes today.
