Drumheller resident Eric Dahl received a great honour when he was asked to speak at a rededication ceremony for the cenotaph at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Calgary.

The cenotaph was the central focal point of their field of honour.

Eric was asked to speak at the event and he was honoured to be asked to do so.

"One of the things I love the most is to be surrounded by my heroes and everyday Canadian hereos" Dahl remarked.

"What a wonderful experience, then to be asked to speak at the event, was just phenomenal.  It was extremely humbling," stated Dahl on the event.

Dahl had the opportunity to meet Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi.

"It was a sureal day, you know all the butterflies on the trip there, get there.  A wonderful day, and then come back and back to real life"
