The Drumheller Community Football Association was out in full force on Saturday with suds buckets, sponges and soap in hand. The team hosted a fundraising car wash in the Western GM parking lot.

All levels of the football association were out scrubbing for the association and raised over one thousand dollars. The money will go towards helping with travel costs, equipment, and other expenses.

"It raises a bunch of money, for the Drumheller Football Association. It is just a lot of fun," explained PeeWee Terrapin, Austin Hartman.

Hot dogs, hamburgers and all of the barbeque fixings were included in the price of donation and the association washed approximately seventy cars.

"I haven't done a full count but I think there is about 30 of us from peewee up to senior," continued Hartman.

There was a steady flow of dirty cars to be washed the whole day, and Hartman enjoyed his experience.

"It is very important I think. It is team bonding in general. It is good to know your teammates and who you will be a team with next season," concluded Hartman.
