99.5 DrumFM and DrumhellerOnline.com hosted the 4th Annual DrumFM Hockey Day in Drumheller Powered by ProPlan Financial Group on Thursday. A great way to celebrate Canada's game in our community. 

IMG 1268Kids getting instruction from Dragons Assistant Coach Kenton Levesque.Things started off with public skating under the lasers in the Memorial Arena. The next event was the skills training where there were just under 40 kids that participated. On ice games with the Dragons followed that up where there was a rousing game of Red Light, Green Light. The kids skills competition was once again well attended where two age groups had the opportunity to showcase their skills for a chance to win trophies and medallions. The day wrapped with the Dragons Skill Competition where Team Orange ended up winning this year by one point. The hardest shot this year was won by Marcus Boguslavsky topping at 144 km/h.

99.5 DrumFM and DrumhellerOnline.com are proud to be able to host such a great event. "Winters can be a bit long and the week after the Family long weekend, the kids are off school and need something to do so I thought why not host Drumheller's own hockey day," expressed Dennis Harder, Station Manager of 99.5 DrumFM and DrumhellerOnline.com. "I would like to thank the Drumheller Dragons and all businesses that partnered with us to make DrumFM Hockey Day another successful event."

"This continues to be an event that brings the community together and provides a place for our community to meet and get to know each other and to have some fun. I'm hoping that this is something that will last for a long, long time."

Plans are already in the works for the 5th Annual DrumFM Hockey Day in Drumheller for next February.
