The Drumheller Public Library is bringing in a Canadian author to host a Writing Workshop.
"It's a course that the author Simon Rose has taught in other places before. The three workshops together are a course in writing historical ficition. He's been very accomidating (as) we asked if we could adjust it a little bit for more Canadian content because of Canada's 150th," explained Emily Hollinghead with the Drumheller Public Library,
The writing workshop takes place on March 22 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Drumheller Public Library.
So, who is Simon Rose?
"He's a Calgary author. I went to a presentation with a local teacher in Calgary last summer and he presents very well, very engaging. He writes mostly middle grade fiction and a lot of historical middle grade non-fiction books," Hollingshead expressed.
There is no registration fees for the event.
"The librarby is covering the full cost of this one. We would appreciate it if people could let us know theu're coming by calling the library at 403-823-1371 or by saying they're coming on our Facebook event," added Hollingshead.
