Shine up your clubs as positive changes are happening at the not so hidden gem in the hills, The Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club.

Even though there is still snow on the ground, Board Members and the new General Manager Greg Morrow, are working hard to ensure an exciting and successful season ahead.

Greg Morrow of Drumheller has been named new General Manager of Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club and is quite the renaissance man in our community. With a great business sense and being an avid golfer himself, he knows what the community wants and needs.

"I'm taking on for the interim as General Manager and my duties will be to oversee the operations of the Club. Also, I will be helping out in any other department. Wherever we might see a hole that will be required to be filled in until we do find the people that are going to be necessary to take those positions over, come springtime."

With each new year and staff turnarounds at Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club, there are always questions and worries from the members and community about the status of the Course.

Phil McCluskey, last season's General Manager, has taken on a new role at a different course this year.

Morrow, the board members, and staff are starting to frequently visit the golf course already to prepare for the season.

"We are going to be open for business this year, any rumours that say otherwise are incorrect." Morrow also says, "We are excited about the new season.  The board has been working diligently at finding replacements. Phil's moving on to an opportunity in Red Deer. We will be operating business as usual, come Spring time."

With the new season, a younger generation can try this fantastic spring, summer and fall sport. Morrow and the Golf Course Crew, are planning on really focusing on students for this next generation of golfers.

"This year, this is going to be one of the growth things, really focusing on getting our presence out to the schools and the community to let them know there is a Junior Progam and we're going to really be promoting it at a higher level and really pursue people to come out on the Jr. side of things."

Morrow encourages Drumheller and the surrounding communities, members included, to call him, drop by and have a visit and he will answer any questions or concerns that anyone may have.

Whether you are a bogey golfer or are a pro on the greens, Morrow and the Dinosaur Trail Golf Staff welcomes everyone to enjoy the game at this gorgeous Course.
