The Drumheller DinoArts Association had a very generous donation on Friday, June 30 from the Valley's newest restaurant, the Chopped Leaf.
"The cheque presentation was the support of the Chopped Leaf, Dinosaur Valley on the Sabre Tooth that sits out here. We did a paint job for them, they provided an amazing donation and that amazing donation is always matched by the Drumheller Chamber of Commerce, so it really helps to build our assets in terms of being able to purchase future dinosaurs," explained Barb Lubinski, volunteer member with the Drumheller DinoArts Association.
Lubinksi noted the money donated will help bring in dinosaurs, like the newest one being placed by the Napier Theatre.
"He's going to be very photogenic and selfie friendly, so I think he's going to be popular with everybody," she added.
So, what made the Chopped Leaf choose the Drumheller DinoArts Association to donate to?
"Keeping everything looking fresh and clean for visitors, as well as the local residents. It's important that the community stays very fresh and up to date. I think they did an amazing job with the dinosaur outside of our store," expressed Nathan Bosch, owner of the Drumheller Chopped Leaf.
"It worked out great having the dinosaur right outside our business and it did need a little bit of attention. We thought it would be great to paint it the same colours as our Chopped Leaf green. We reached out to them and they were willing to spend time out in the heat and get that thing painted. We really appreciate that," concluded Bosch.
