It's been a busy November for the RCMP in Three Hills.
The town has been hit by a rash of property crimes, including vehicle thefts and acts of vandalism.
"Property crime seems to be the hot ticket thing going on right now in all the communities across Alberta, really," reported Sergeant Gabriel Graham, who heads up the Three Hills Detachment. "There's been a  nine per cent increase in property crime, but Three Hills just seems to be in that right sweet spot for criminals right now."
"Banff (RCMP) picked up a couple guys that we're trying to link to a bunch of the stuff that's going on around here," noted Graham. "We've linked them through some property and stuff so far and we're just looking at putting those pieces together right now."
Graham said Three Hills Mounties had not yet had the chance to interview the suspects arrrested in Banff, but they were hoping to soon. They are also still investigating a rash of vandalism that saw four separate arson fires along with damage to a number of vehicles.
"We are working on a few different leads right now," allowed Sergeant Graham. "We don't want to say too much about it, but we thought we'd let everybody know that we know about it and we are dealing with it."
If you can help, call the Three HIlls RCMP Detachment at 403-443-5539 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
