RCMP have notified DrumFM that the area is now clear for motorists to use.

A collision on Highway 9 North at 2 Ave W had two vehicles blocking both lanes.

The collision was right in front of a speciality cuisine restaurant where a utility vehicle collided with a sedan size car, smashing in its rear end.

"There was a southbound silver sedan, it was on the outside lane. It had stopped at 2 Ave and the driver of the silver sedan believed there may have been pedestrians. so they came to a stop," explained Staff SGT Kevin Charles of the Drumheller RCMP. "Traveling behind the sedan was a Carillion dump truck and it rear-ended the stopped sedan."

Charles also mentioned that there were five people in the sedan, which included three children, who went to the hospital for observation.
