Chinook Financial has a new president after the amalgamation with Mountain View Credit Union.
Chinook Financial's parent company, Connect First, grew larger this past year as it combined its professional profile with Mountain View Credit Union. During the expansion, a new president was named for Chinook, Keith Richard.
"I've been with Connect First or Chinook for the last eight years; certainly shifting away for a number of years into the administrative role," explained new Chinook president, Richard. "Prior to that, I was with Chinook for a period of four years. Really for me, it was like going back home."
"I have not seen or experienced anything negative in my return. I think the staff are excited about the change. Excited about having an individual come back into the region that really understands what Chinook is all about. It's about family, being in the community and helping our members succeed."
As Richard commented, the goal is to continue to provide the Drumheller community with the same dedication and professionalism that Chinook Financial provided before the merger with Mountain View Credit Union and he has absolute faith in the staff of Chinook as well as in himself to carry out this goal.
"We will continue to do what Connect First and Chinook Financial is doing," said Richard. "(We are) making sure that our members are receiving the services that they deserve amongst the various channels that are available to them. We will continue to support them in any way that we can."
