The people at Chinook Financial in Drumheller can pat themselves on the back after another successful Pay it Forward campaign.

On June 23 and 24 they headed out into the community to help some local people with their shopping.

"We had the opportunity to go out into the community to a few businesses, just making purchases for anybody that arrived at these businesses and paying it forward," explained Sheresse Thompson of the Drumheller branch.

"We hit Tim Horton's and R&J Flowers on the Friday, bought some coffee and some meals, and flowers for some people in the community," she outlined. "On Saturday we were at the Chopped Leaf as well as Cafe Ole, buying some lunches and some coffees there. All we can do is hope we made some peoples' days."

It's not the first time the local Chinook Financial branch has paid it forward. Just before Christmas 2016, they helped several customers with their Christmas bills and bought breakfast for customers of Tim Horton's.

"I know we've got some bodies working hard at coming up with some new ideas," promised Thompson. "Keep your eyes open because we're going to be out there in the community surprising people and spreading some love."
