A second person has been charged with murder in the death of a Calgary man whose body was discovered in a farmer's field south of Morrin last fall.
A 16 year old girl, who was at first charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and obstruction of justice, has seen the charge upgraded to first degree murder.
The teen can't be identified because of the Young Offenders Act, but her boyfriend, Dylan Howard, is also charged with first-degree murder in the death of 36 year old Fazal Rehman, whose body was spotted at the scene of a burning vehicle north of Drumheller on October 16, 2017.
The 21 year old Howard was denied bail and will be back in court in Drumheller for a preliminary inquiry in January. The teen's defence lawyer will argue for the girl's release next month.
