Around 10:45 p.m. on March 22 a call went out to Hanna RCMP, fire and EMS that a cattle liner had rolled on Highway 36.
Old Man Winter is getting the blame for an accident near Hanna last night.
EMS transported the semi driver to the Hanna Hospital where he was admitted and subsequently transported to hospital in Red Deer. However, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The semi was hauling 97 head of cattle and it's thought hat five of them were killed in the wreck. The Hanna Fire Department removed the surviving animals from the trailer and corralled them onto a piece of land adjacent to the rollover until the owner can pick them up.
High winds and icy road conditions are believed to be factors in the crash.
