Six weeks of evidence and legal arguments has wrapped in the trial of two men accused of killing a Castor area family.
The Crown Prosecutor claims Jason Klaus planned the murders of his father and mother, Gordon and Sandra, and his sister Monica Klaus at their farm house near Castor in December, 2013, while co-accused Joshua Frank carried them out.
The pair made the admission to undercover police officers posing as organized crime figures. Klaus said he felt maligned by his family and was worried he’d be pushed off the family farm.
On the witness stand, they changed their stories, accusing each other of planning and carrying out the murders.
Justice Eric Macklin will deliver his verdict on January 10.
