The second of two central Alberta men accused of murdering three people took the witness stand in his own defence.
Jason Klaus and Joshua Frank each face three charges of first-degree murder in the December, 2013 deaths of Gordon, Sandra and Monica Klaus at their Castor area farm.
Klaus blamed everything on Frank when he testified last week, but on Friday, Frank said it was Klaus who shot his family members and the family dog, then threatened to kill him if he told anyone.
Under cross examination by the Crown and by Klaus' layer, Frank admitted he lied to police, but claimed it was because he was afraid his co-accused would kill him if he told the truth.
The murder trial continues today.
