RCSCC Furious cadets hope to get your goat with their latest fundraising effort.

'Who's Got Your Goat?' is the name of the promotion which aims to saddle someone with a real pet goat.

"Sea Cadets is fundraising for our D-Day trip next year," explained cadet Bailey Chung, who was manning a booth at the entrance to Freson Bros. on Saturday. "We have purchased a goat: I think it's $20 to nominate three people to win the goat. You can buy insurance: insurance will take your name out of the draw so you won't be able to get the goat."

"(It's gone) really good, actually," she added. "We just raised our first $1,000 and we've only had this open for about five days."

The fundraiser is open until October 31: the draw for the goat will be made on November 7.

"It's an actual goat, like we have crates coming and it will be shown," Chung assured us. "Actually, we're doing a hockey game on October 14 where he'll be riding the Zamboni around the rink."
