Calling all drivers!
The Buick Drive for your Students is back again in the Drumheller valley.
May 26 and 27, Western GM will be showcasing the new Buick and GMC models.
"It's about raising money for an after school project, like a playground or a field, something that is publicly accessible," explained Western GM Sales Manager Brad LeDrew.
This year's donation will go towards the expansion of the Greentree School playground.
Day one of the event will be held at the Drumheller Valley Secondary School parking lot between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., day two will be held in the Western GM parking lot between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., on the 27 there will also be a carwash and barbeque to benefit the local football program.
LeDrew added that last years inaugural event raised $8,700 for St. Anthony's School.
"We want to blow it out of the park, we want to get 10,000 this year. In order to do it we just need 500 people to come down and test drive a new Buick or GMC vehicle."
He also highlighted that this is not an event to sell any vehicles, it's just to showcase the new features on the vehicles, and to have fun while helping out the community.
