Boxing day had bodies throughout the Drumheller area bustling to get the best deals in town.

Even though Drumheller isn't the size of a large city, big deals were still present during 2018's Boxing Day.

It was released by Amazon, the online shopping giant, yesterday that 83% of Canadians would be doing their boxing day shopping online, opposed to in-store. With days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, one could ask if Boxing Day is still relevant.

"I think boxing day is relevant to me because there is always a good buy out there," explained Drumheller shopper, June Ibrahim.

"I don't know much about computers," said Ibrahim. "I'd rather go and see what's there and pick-up what I feel I need."

Shopping on Boxing Day is also hugely considered a part of the holidays by many Canadians, a day that Ibrahim says she will always enjoy.

"It seems like my family has done a lot of (holiday) shopping online. Maybe I better get with the times and learn how to use a computer properly," Ibrahim joked.
