The feeling of comfort isn't the what most people receive when first walking into a dentist office, but this was not true at Big Country Dental on Friday, May 25th. The dental studio held the "Dentistry From Our Hearts" charity event in celebration of Dr. Preeti Bhardwaj three year anniversary of owning Big Country Dental Care.

Staff donated their time, and the complete proceeds of the day went to the Drumheller Salvation Army Foodbank. They also collected non-perishable food items, as well as toothbrushes and toothpaste.

These items are of great importance to the Salvation Army Food Bank says Captain Jennifer Hiller of the Salvation Army.bigcountrydental2The Captains thankful for donations

"Things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and just very basic items that we use on a day to day basis, we often forget that many people may be in need of. So it was great to have some suppliers step up."

The money collected will be used toward purchasing items for the foodbank while the food donations will be given out in hampers for the community.

"It is a really great way that they have reached out to give back to their neighbors to give back through the work we do at the Salvation Army." said Hillier.
