Hanna RCMP are investigating a theft of batteries from a waste management facility north of Hanna.

The incident happened on evening of January 20. Police say suspects cut a lock on an access gate and proceeded to steal 30 to 60 used automotive batteries. When they took off, they left behind a green plastic tub with various hoses and a black milk crate with tools in it. They returned sometime between January 21 and 23 to retrieve the items.

According to RCMP an employee was able to take pictures of the plastic tub and milk crate before the suspects retrieved them.
