The Drumheller and District Humane Society held an adoption drive at Critters 360 on Saturday, July 22

"We had an adoption drive at the Humane Centre last weekend and it went amazingly," said Kelcy Travis, president of the Drumheller and District Humane Society. "Over the period of three days I think we had 12 adoptions, which got our numbers down so we could intake more animals. We got to the point where we were full to capacity."

"It's been really busy, there was a farmer's market downtown so we had a lot of foot traffic," explained Travis. "We've had one adoption so far from the cats that we have here and there has been a few adoptions at the Humane Centre as well."

The adoption fee was $50, which could be extended into next week.

"We would honour that $50 price for the following week in case there was a cat or kitten that you fell in love with this weekend or last and you have just taken some time to talk about it with your family and make an important decision," noted Travis.
