August is drawing to a close and that means valley residents will be thinking about registering for fall and winter activities.

The annual Fall Sports, Recreation and Arts Expo will take place at the Badlands Community Facility in the field house on September 13.

"It's one stop shopping for a lot of families they just go to one booth sign one kid up for one thing then go to another booth and sign the other child up," said Erica Crocker, marketing and sales officer at the Badlands Community Facility. "Perhaps they even sign themselves up. There are so many different things available for everybody here in Drumheller and the surrounding area."

"You can certainly expect to see all sorts of organizations throughout the Drumheller and surrounding area having registration for their programs available at the Sports, Recreation and Arts Expo," explained Crocker.

Activities such as soccer and minor hockey will have booths set up at the event as well.

"We have our own programs that run through here," noted Crocker. "We're offering a new stretch of yoga classes, core cycling, there is a personal trainer, swimming lessons through the Aquaplex, the Drumheller Library has programs for kids, and the Drumheller Asset Developement Coalition has tons of programs within the community as well."

The event gets underway at 4:00p.m and extends until 7:00p.m.
