A local business received an award for the Home Centre Commitment to Excellence Recognition program.

The Drumheller Co-op were the recipients and the award is based off of 2016 operational performance.

"It is a program that recognizes Home Centre excellence on financials, operations, guest service, community involvement and merchandising. We are the winners for the Calgary region," stated manager of the Co-op Home Centre, Merna Doktorchik.

So, how did the Drumheller centre find out they won the award?

"Some of the people from Federated Co-op out of Calgary gave me a call and told me we had won. They came out last week and presented us with our award and put a banner on the fence," expressed Doktorchik.

"It's just a really nice pat on the back to all of the members of the team to say thank you for all the hard work, dedication and try to do it again," she concluded.
