A Hanna area woman has been convicted of two animal cruelty charges.
Catherine Adams was arrested and charged after nine malnourished horses, 25 dogs and 17 birds were seized from the property she shared with her mother, Karin. Charges against the mother were dismissed.
The duo were convicted of animal cruelty charges in British Columbia in 2014 and banned from owning animals for 20 years.
The judge ordered a pre-sentence report before deciding on punishment. Sentencing is tentatively set for August 22.
